{"id":3489,"date":"2023-01-09T16:47:46","date_gmt":"2023-01-09T16:47:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.piamfarmaceutici.com\/patologia\/stato-epilettico\/"},"modified":"2023-01-09T16:47:46","modified_gmt":"2023-01-09T16:47:46","slug":"stato-epilettico","status":"publish","type":"patologia","link":"https:\/\/www.piamfarmaceutici.com\/en\/patologia\/stato-epilettico\/","title":{"rendered":"Status epilepticus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Status epilepticus is a clinical situation in which an epileptic seizure (generalized or focal, motor or otherwise) is prolonged for more than 20 minutes or in which the crises repeat themselves at very short intervals (less than a minute) such as to represent a continuous epileptic condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Status epilepticus (SE) is an emergency that, repeating over time, involves brain damage which may also have a fatal outcome. It therefore requires immediate diagnosis and treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SE<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is distinguished as either generalized or partial.
